We had the privilege of meeting with Mo Yahya, the United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Pakistan. A heartfelt thanks to him for giving us this valuable opportunity.Mr. Zia Khan, the founder of Quetta Online Volunteers, led the discussion focusing on the inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of life.
He emphasized the necessity of empowering Disabled People Organizations (DPOs) in Balochistan, advocating for their active participation in fostering an inclusive society. Supporting these organizations is crucial for ensuring that persons with disabilities have equal opportunities and can contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Additionally, we highlighted the pressing need for more opportunities for the youth of B<alochistan. Providing our young people with the resources and support they need is essential for the region’s development and progress.Quetta Online Volunteers, a unique platform founded by Mr. Zia Khan, is at the forefront of empowering persons with disabilities. They are leading various humanitarian activities such as tree plantation, blood donation, skill development, and numerous other social initiatives. Their dedication and efforts exemplify the potential and resilience of persons with disabilities in our community.We are hopeful that our requests will lead to positive changes and greater inclusivity in Balochistan.
